B.W.'s PLAYLIST/ KHSU-FM, 90.5/ SAT., 23 MAY 09

Kim Gordon screams for the Hot Circles (and makes a second appearance on the website, I realize). Sonic Youth will be releasing their 16th record, The Eternal, on June 9th, from Matador. The NY-based band, now joined by former Pavement bassist Mark Ibold, truly rocks on this upcoming strong release.

B.W.'s PLAYLIST/ KHSU-FM, 90.5/ MON., 18 MAY 09

Guitarist extraordinaire Nels Cline shines in the light of Wilco, who are releasing their new record, (The Album), on June 30th. Good stuff. Mr. Cline was kind enough to give the Boy Wonder a free copy of his record, Scarnella, in collaboration with Carla Buzolich. An amazing artist and a very cool bloke.
The Boy Wonder will be filling in for Gus Mozart's Music Box (Monday evenings, 10-Midnight) for the next three weeks. Double dose of the Wonder drug, indeed.
