B.W.'s PLAYLIST/ KHSU, 90.5/ SAT., 26 JUNE 2010/

St. Louis troubadour Pokey LaFarge and his band, The South City Three, who have just released a new killer recording Riverboat Soul (Free Dirt Records), will be headlining Missing Link Records' Jefferson State Old Time Revue, featuring Striped Pig Band and Hellbound Glory, among others, barbecue, beer and fresh home-made pies (thank you "Pie Ladies"!), on Sat., July 3rd, at The Arcata Playhouse, starting at 4 p.m. If you haven't seen Pokey & Co. perform, it'll be a energetic, funny, rip roarin' hellofagoodtime. You gotta see it to experience it, then convert to it. This recent classy pic of Pokey was taken in NY by Angela Vincent (more on Pokey's website). Don't be fooled, if you get my drift.
